Austria's highest high rope course
Did you know that Austria's highest high rope course can be found here with us at Saalbach Hinterglemm? This is where enthusiastic climbing fans climb to dizzying heights to test where their limits lie.
You can choose your personal "airway" from several courses at different levels of difficulty and heights of between 3 and 40 metres. Professional instructors are on hand to teach you the basics of climbing during an introductory training exercise. As one would expect, suitable equipment is provided and high standards of safety adhered to.
Art, Culture and History
The Valley of Games is also the perfect place for all those interested in art and culture. Discover castles and palaces along with their history and immerse yourself in local traditions during an alpine pasture festival or one of the village and street festivals.

Montelino's Adventure Trail and feeding wild game
Montelino the clown is sad - can young guests help him find his friends and toys again? Fun game stations await little explorers along the trail from the mountain terminal to the middle station of the Kohlmaisgipfelbahn cable car.
Follow in Montelino’s tracks through the forest and across meadows, with a giant slide, puppet theatre and much more! You might even catch a glimpse of real wild animals feeding...
Kodok Mountain and Expedition Kodok
Over time, the mischievous little goblin Kodok has become a true guardian of the mountain. With his magical powers, he keeps everyone safe and happy. But oh no – a sneaky troll has stolen his magical items! Now Kodok needs your help. Set off on an exciting adventure with your family and help him find the missing treasures. 11 fun and tricky puzzle stations are waiting for you!
There are many tasks to solve along the 3.5 kilometre long circular trail - for which you will need your brain, motor skills and a healthy portion of bravado!
Schnitza´s Wood Park
An adventure play area for visitors of all ages: Schnitza´s Wood Park at the valley head of Saalbach Hinterglemm. A huge adventure playground built entirely from timber awaits - right next to the popular Devil's Water Theme Park.
Schnitza´s Wood Park is where creativity, natural encounters and adventurous spirits are right at home. For the little ones, for example, there is a covered sandbox, a timber plateau with wooden blocks, giant wooden animals, carving demonstrations and many entertaining games.
Devil’s Water
Things get decidedly wetter next to the Wood Park. The Devil’s Water Theme Park takes visitors on an interesting tour of discovery past play and wellness stations dedicated to the element of water, with Kneipp pools, a mill wheel, rock pool, Dwarf Kingdom kingdom and much more.
Käpt´n Hook Outdoor Adventure Pool
Captain Hook paid a visit to Saalbach Hinterglemm, and left a huge bathing landscape behind: with a 1,000 m² swimming area, white-water canal, climbing net, massage beds, whirlpool seating, tube slide with light and water sound effects and much more. There is also a beach volleyball court and an open-air cinema for children!
Enchanted Forest
Young visitors can discover their favourite fairy-tale characters at the “Märchenwald” Enchanted Forest - all lovingly carved from wood and artfully painted. It starts next to the tennis hall in Hinterglemm, where many beautiful fairy-tale stories are waiting to be discovered. The Skate Park is located right next door, where you can watch all the action or try out a spot of riding yourself.
Summit Playground on the Schattberg
A new, large and well-equipped Summit Playground on Mount Schattberg offers fun and action for the whole family, with hammocks and relaxing seats to round off the wonderful choice of amenities.
The Wildlife Trail
If you explore the mountains of Saalbach Hinterglemm, you will occasionally spot a shy deer, catch a glimpse of an excited squirrel before it disappears into the forest crowns again, or even catch sight of a curious marmot by the wayside. But far away from the hiking trails, the grass mountains that surround Saalbach Hinterglemm are also the habitat of a diverse animal kingdom that is rarely seen. On the new Wildlife Trail you can explore together with Lilo and Ossi which animals are at home in the Glemmtal, how they look and live and learn funny details about the animals.
Kids Hiking Challenge
Getting the kids in the mood for discovery is a perfect start to a successful day of hiking in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Bright eyes and a thirst for adventure in place of being bored and frustrated. Our little hikers will find have great fun and enjoy experiences on the mountain while exploring the exciting theme trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm. With the new Kids Hiking Challenge, it is now easier for parents to see that their children are enthusiastic about exercising in the great outdoors. Riddles, adventure, excitement and a sporting challenge for the whole family and really cool rewards await the energetic little hikers in Saalbach Hinterglemm!

If you are arriving after 8:00 p.m., we kindly ask you to inform us in advance. Your room will be ready for check-in from 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival – on the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the room by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.
Garage parking space – Our garage is available at a rate of €18.00 per day (free of charge in summer). Outdoor parking space – €5.00 per day in winter.
Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. and check-out is until 11:00 a.m.
Late check-out? Would you like to enjoy your departure day a little longer and travel home only in the evening? Upon short notice and by request, it is possible to stay in your room until 5:00 p.m. and use our wellness area, allowing you to start your journey home completely relaxed. For this service, we kindly charge €50.00 per person (for a double room or suite used as single occupancy, €100.00 per room).
Dogs are allowed upon prior registration. Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant or wellness area. For small dogs, we charge €20.00 per night, and for larger dogs (from 50 cm shoulder height), €30.00 per night (both rates exclude food). Our dog house rulesmust be observed and signed before arrival (at the latest upon check-in).
